mappery features thousands of maps and each one has a detailed map info page. The vast majority of mappery's traffic lands on these map pages after searching for maps on Google. The goal of the page is to get people to click the map or other nearby maps shown on the page.
Here's the current page:

I'm looking for a re-design of this page that includes ALL of the current content elements (such as the map title, thumbnail, rating, nearby photos, ad units, nearby maps, etc.) and addresses the following issues:
1. Layout is messy. All of the content elements seem jumbled and just thrown on the screen with weak organization. Should be visually much easier to digest but retain all of the same content.
2. Looks like an old website. Fonts, colors, etc. look like a site from 1999. Want to aim for an updated, clean look with more finish/polish. Fan of http://vimeo.com
3. Should be more visually enjoyable and leverage the visual power of the maps and the nearby photos as much as possible.
The design of header, footer, buttons, sizes of the content elements etc. can all change to reflect your vision. Regarding ad requirements, a leaderboard ad unit must remain in the header and the top medium box ad must stay above the fold.
Would like to engage the winner on other page redesigns as well.
