Design a website for Punditit.com, a Pligg social news site all about sports.
We have developed a logo which should be used to steer the look and feel of the design.
We require a website for http://www.Punditit.com a Pligg social bookmarking site about sports. We wish to make http://www.punditit.com the number one place to go on the web for sports news and interaction. The contest requires you to take the template shown at http://www.pliggtemplates.eu/demo/y…coming.php as a base (there are others on the site that could be used for inspiration) and redesign it to fit the following wants. All the widgets included on the template should be included in the design. It should be delivered in PSD format.
•The website must appeal to men who love sport and love talking about it. They are likely to be between 18 and 45, well educated and reasonably wealthy for their age. They like sports news and talking about sports because it allows them to be witty and irreverent. •To appeal to these consumers the website should have a clean, professional, masculine, web 2.0 feel about it. Think GQ Magazine rather than Nuts or Loaded Magazine. •The actual design should be driven from the logo #47 in the punditit.com logo contest and the characters associated with it but you have freedom to change the colours as you see fit in order to meet the brief. A character for each sport will follow as well as PSD files for the logo. •The page should have a good density of content so while remaining clean it should not waste space. http://www.bleacherreport.com is a good example of content density, font and button sizes •Within the header bar there should be the following categories of news in the following order: Football, Cricket, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Golf, Tennis, Motorsport, Boxing, Other •The design should consider that users may submit video stories. In this case a small preview of the video should be incorporated into the design. There are many examples of Pligg sites that do this on the internet. •There should be space within the page to explain the concept of the site and for us promote interesting aspects of the site, news etc. Please incorporate such a space into your design. Our initial thoughts are that it should be to the right hand side of the stories. •Please ask if you have any further questions
