We are a site that provides thousands of lectures in audio, text and video formats on a wide variety of torah topics.
We have thousands of unique visitors per day and we want to refresh our page that shows the actual lectures to be cleaner, better organized and more up-to-date (e.g. adding social networking integration)
We want to expand the use of the page - right now the elements are mixed together in a variety of design paradigms and everything feels cluttered and confusing.
We want power users to feel like they have the functionality they need while making sure that our older users (and we have many) won't feel overwhelmed
We have a website with audio/video, PDF and HTML lectures and we need the lecture page of our site to be redesigned (this is the page that displays the lectures). It is the primary content page of our entire site.
There are a few differences in the layout depending on the type of lecture the page has but, by and large, the page has the exact same structure.
Over the past few years, we have regularly added items to the page (such a facebook “Like” buttons and RSS/podcast links) and the page has started to become cluttered and disorganized. Since this is the primary page of our site, we felt that it was important that the page be clear and easy to use.
You can see the page here:
• Audio: http://www.yutorah.org/lectures/lec…st_Lecture
• PDF: http://www.yutorah.org/lectures/lec…of_a_Giant
• HTML: http://www.yutorah.org/lectures/lec…e_Kabbalah
A detailed list of all the possible components on the page is attached. It is strongly recommended that you familiarize yourself with the page before proceeding.
Also, our goals are attached.
