We are OR, an innovative software development company founded 11 years ago in Austria. We develop customised software for our international customers (currently mostly for the automotive sector - Australia, UK, Netherlands, Germany,...) and also work on our own products, which we're planning to launch end of this year. - Main audience: Job Seekers & Customers who have heard about us - 2nd audience: Our Team - for them to be have a sense of identification with OR Information we want to transport: 1) What we can do (the services, skills) * allow visitors to understand what we do * get the intereset of job seekers to apply (cool tech & projects) * allow customers that know about us to validate what they heard about us (good stuff) * NOT A PRIO: people who found us by google 2) Who will do the work (the people) * the team * our mission * the goal here is to create thoughts like "I want to meet those people. I want to collaborate with them" 3) How we behave and interact (values) * what is important to us (and theirfore maybe to the client or job seeker) * our values Emotions we want to create: * "I want to work with them" * Modern, bleeding edge tech * Fast * Creative * Easy to talk to / unbureauratic * Innovative * Brave
One of the partners put his wish like this: "The website should be modern and nerdy at first glance and simply different in the sense of a bit crazy, yet with a high degree of professionalism." Logo: Please use our new approach with just using the "OR" lettering, we are trying to stop using our old logo shape. Colors: We don’t have branding colors yet, but we like black and white combined with fresh vibrant colors. You can see some examples of what we like in the base / logo section. The mint green is one of the old color palette that we want to upgrade to more freshness, thats what the gradient experiments are for. Nothing is set in stone here except for our wish to use the letters "OR" as our logo in the future and not the shape, colorwise we're super open! We were informed that 3 scrolls per page is the limit, but we want to include as much as possible already on the landing page, so that the user only has to scroll instead of clicking. Therefore we are relatively sure to exceed the 3 scrolls and want to give the opportunity to design a comprehensive landing page through the 2 pages.
Was vermieden werden soll
1) Scroll hijack - we still like parts becoming static while scrolling, but in a way you do not want to murder the computer. 2) Being ordinary. 3) Slow websites, we will handcode for performance. 4) Stuff that does not work on mobile. We noticed our figma brief could be a bit confusing, sorry about that, for clarification: the "Brainstorming" part just is everything we've internally come up with during the brainstorming sessions for the website, including what emotions and informations we'd like to transport in each page (included for context, this contest is only for the landing page!). The "Brief: Landing Page" is the part were besides the general stuff, we tried to pin down what sections we thought about incorporating on the LP and also put a "ideas / sections explanation" part next to it, to show what we would like to achieve with each section.
