senyen.jp
I an American with several internet based businesses around the world.
This site will specifically be targeted at Japanese adults (both men and women) between the ages of 20-40. Thus the site needs to be acceptable to both sexes.
As this site will be used primarily in Japan, using the traditional colors of Japan will possibly boosts its acceptability. Not a requirement, but for a list of traditional colors, please see this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tradit…s_of_Japan. An ideal design would appeal to both Japanese men and women between the ages of 20-40. Thus it would not be too "cute" that it would turn men away and not too "manly" that it would turn women away. I am looking for something very creative and unique. Something that is very modern and lets the users knows that the site is up with the current trends. I don't have a logo as of yet, but would like to have the y as the yen mark ¥.
As for layout and functionality, it will need something similar to auction sites. I have searched the internet and basically all of the features of fiverr.com will need to be included. It does not need to be a copy of fiverr.com as the site will function a bit differently, but it will be the best point of reference.
The main page will need around 12-15 categories listed, login/register, FAQ, about us, taglines, terms of service/disclaimer etc. Once the user logs in they will need to access an inbox page for communications, a profile page to edit and manage their information, manage their earnings and payments, a page to edit their own posts, an order page where they can order their orders etc. When a user clicks on an individual post I want them to be taken to a page that features a picture and a short description of the offer. I don’t want to copy fiverr.com, but I like the simple way that users can post and edit content.
This site will eventually be localized into Japanese once everything is in place.
