The design should be an eloquent and well-executed re-creation of the iconic Ecce Homo pieces of art featuring the portrait of Jesus Christ (see links below for examples), but with 2008 U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama’s face.  The purpose of the design is not meant to be inflammatory, demeaning or defacing.  Rather, the purpose is to use a powerful and well-known image in a provocative way to help raise awareness of and support for Barack Obama.  The design is meant to be a positive depiction of Barack as a potential “savior†to his supporters, to the U.S.A., and to the world.

Wear-ability with regards to design, taste, and aesthetic are crucial.  Amature photo-shopping of Barack's face onto the painting will not even be considered.  Although the linked-images provide a good example of what I generally want for the design (including key Ecce Homo elements like style, color, a crown of thorns, and traces of blood), designers should take artistic freedom to include characteristics, features, and qualities that they feels are unique to Barack Obama and that will help to deliver a message of hope and optimism…“savior†qualities without the morose.

- Primary – Wearable, inspiring, provocative, intriguing, edgy, discussion-worthy, inspirational, compelling, optimistic
- Secondary – Genuine, artistic, aesthetically pleasingAdjectives to describe the end-product should not include:
