Urban Hotpot is a Chinese hotpot restaurant that serves food via conveyor belt.

I decided to design a logo with a circular rugged stamp-style traditional Chinese character [guō, for pot]. I made the Chinese character large and used a bright shade of red, a color associated with hunger, so that it could easily be spotted in a distance. The shape of the logo makes it easy to put the logo on sign posts and to use it for wall and glass decorations. It can also easily be printed on tissues, receipts, and other stationery.

The styling of the word "hotpot" is a slight homage to the conveyor belt, without being to obvious. The two "O" are like plates traveling along the conveyor.
