i believe that drawing is the beginning of if not all, many of the artists. our creativity starts when we see things differently. seeing a red umbrella and say "red is a lovely color" is normal; saying "that red umbrella could be a great contrast to a picture with a gloomy weather", that's a comment from a person with imagination. i believe that imagining things could get an artist a very long way.
