Over the past 6 or 7 years, the game of poker, has experienced a surge in popularity. The area of poker education is a growing business due to the fact that although poker is relatively easy to learn, it can take a lifetime to master. The WSOP (World Series of Poker) Academy is Poker's Premier Provider of Poker Education. The WSOP Academy is the exclusive poker education provider of the World Series of Poker, poker's most prestigious and most watched set of poker tournaments. Traditionally, we have provided live poker training by accomplished poker pros and celebrities in their own right in casino properties across the United States. Our poker instructors are amongst the very best poker players in the world. We are currently preparing for the launch of poker training online in addition to our live events. So, we will be offering face to face poker training in the "classroom" as well as poker training online from any computer. Our current website does not reflect the anticipated launch of online training nor has it been updated with our new Logo. WSOP Academy is the REAL WSOP Training. Our instructors include Phil Hellmuth, Annie Duke, Greg Raymer, Mark Seif, Ali Nejad, Mark Gregorich, Joe Navarro plus many more high profile poker players, personalities and experts.
Our target audience"poker enthusiasts" who want to improve their poker knowledge, improve their results and make more money playing poker, to meet and interact with top poker players that they see playing on TV, to win a major poker title and a small segment are aspiring professional poker players.
Our target market for our "live events" has been people who play recreationally in home poker games or casinos, are poker fans ( watch poker on tv, read poker magazines), are career professionals such as doctors, lawyers, business owners and executives, are predominately male, are 35-65 years of age, are affluent and travel at least a couple of times a year.
An emerging target market for our "online training" includes the "live events" audience but also appeals to a wider range of people due to the low cost and convenience of training without having to travel.
The audience for this particular display will include both audiences.
This display sign needs to needs to have clearly defined sections. It needs to
1. incorporate new logo
2. incorporate collage of photos from of our main poker pros - use just one pic of each pro - Annie Duke, Phil Hellmuth, Greg Raymer, Mark Seif, Mark Gregorich, Ali Nejad (Annie Duke, Phil Hellmuth & Greg Raymer should be placed most prominent position)
3. incorporate text with sections that can quickly draw the eyes
4. Our tagline is Learn from the Pros. Make the Money. Live the Dream.
5. The size will be 33.5 x 80 inches and must be at least 150 DPI
The color schemes should be black, grays, red and white with blacks or dark grays at the base. This should include the text. As far as copy here are 2 samples. Fonts and text layouts can really make or break a banner. Looking forward to seeing the designs!
