Commercial Real Estate Signboard Design

We are a small commercial and industrial real estate agency that sells and leases offices and modern factories. We operate in Sydney Australia. We want to appear corporate and modern. We need a new design for the signs that we put in front of properties that we have for sale or for lease.

Businesses looking for commercial office space or industrial space to buy or rent. Most of our customers are executive types.

We have a signboard layout that we have been using for seven years. By signboard we mean an advertising sign going on the front of office buildings, advising that we have space for lease or for sale.

We feel that our current design has become stale and dated. We would like it modernised while still incorporating our corporate colours which are Reflex blue and a strong bright orange.

Please see the attached sample Glass Meares sign which is our current design. Also attached are two photos of our competitor's signs.

When printed, the signs are generally in one of two sizes:

6 feet tall and 4 feet wide
8 feet tall and six feet wide.

I assume that for the design contest you will just provide a small scale design that our signwriters can copy or upsize. If possible we would like the file in Adobe Illustrator CS2, however if this is not possible then a pdf file that we can copy.

Please feel free to put in new ideas. Some key points to consider:

1. Our phone number 9418 6555 needs to be large
2. All fonts need to be large and easy to read.
3. We are looking for a slick, modern, corporate feel.
6. We want the sign concept to be striking and easy to read because often people only get a brief look at the sign as they drive or walk past. Anything cluttered wont work.
