I have been providing therapy to families adults and children for 9 years. I have started a small private practice three years ago, but soon I will be moving to a nicer, bigger location. I want to start actively marketing my work. I use a variety of interventions: Play therapy, pet therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) , acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and EMDR. It is important that I come across as professional but accessible. I work to make people feel safe and connected to me and then the two of us can face challenges together. I love helping people find what is important to them and help them move toward that. Materials should not be about my ego. Themes to convey are: growth, healing, connection, sanctuary and acceptance. I also promote flexibility and a sense of humor. Decor in office will be modern and clean-lined in a small,intimate converted older home to office.
I work with children ages 4 to 18 and their families. I use play therapy and EMDR. Traumas can be anything from parents divorcing,car accidents to violence. I also work with individuals that have depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. I also want to work with professionals that want to work on self defeating behaviors and increase their performance.
I want business cards with an appointment card on the back. I also want letterhead, thank you notes and envelopes, return address stickers. I don't want photographs or cartoons. I don't want to alienate clients appearing too "woo" or weird or alternative. I like the idea of having something that is "green apple" colored green as a subtle image of growth but open to anything that isn't boring. I most want to convey that I am approachable and professional. You can trust me and I am a safe person that will accept you.

Also at the bottom a request for 24 notice if needing to change to cancel to avoid a possible no show fee. All wording and or format of course can be changed as you think! I am unclear if the populations and or interventions should be on the card. I don't think that clients really care and know about interventions, they just want relief.
