Social.com - Tagline is “Be Social”
Social.com is a website and suite of tools for users to share their online discoveries as they surf the web. It’s a mega powerful name and we have a suite of tools coming to match, that let you share info using browser plug-ins and send to twitter, facebook, google reader, etc. Social.com is the revamped brand name – the existing tools are in Beta (and undergoing a facelift) can be seen by visiting http://www.bigtweet.com. There is nothing on the existing social.com site that needs to be, (or should be) included in the revamped logo.

We want the logo to standout but not be to fancy – it should evoke a feeling of being hip and current but also solid. Our favorite logo / brand that uses a similar naming convention is salesforce.com. The style of their logo and the favicon all look good but feel free to experiment. We are open to other concepts that convey the social, communication and sharing aspects of social.com.
We are leaning towards logo colors that are red / black / grey / blue, but feel free to be creative.
Logo must have a component that can be used as a “favicon”, i.e. a component that can be used in the logo or pulled out and used stand alone on brower tab or URL bar.
Logo should be transferable between mediums, ie. Could work on the website with a white background, embroidered onto a shirt, letterhead, business cards.

Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo
