Smart Patient (sub-text: your voice, your choice)
Smart Patient refers to a growing number of people with chronic disease who have realised that in order to get the best value from the health system and to realise their own aspirations, they have to take greater self-control. This brand will represent the emerging recognition that of all the parties involved in the treatment of the 40% of population that are now drug-dependent, the expert patient offers the best value and most hope to generate wellness.

Any person from any part of the world who has a chronic condition (such as asthma, arthritis, autoimmune conditions, cardiovascular disease, cancer etc.) or who is caring for somebody with a chronic condition.
Typically, they are people who are looking for greater self-determination because of their age group (younger people distrust the medical system), they are dissatisfied with the health system or they are part of one of the new communities of common interest groups associated with their particular condition.
The logo needs to convey the characteristics of the smart patient community that will provide a practical methodology that enables them to define where they want to go and how to get there:

It allows you to take a step back and look at all your options and their outcomes to see if they match up with your personal desired endpoint. It gives you the courage to ask your practitioner questions so that you can take the reins of your life and no longer live in the dark. By weighing up the pros and cons of each treatment, it makes it easier to choose which one suits you and enables you to tailor your own pathway dependent on your lifestyle and values." ER, Australia
It needs to convey the level of hope and excitement that through the sharing of the knowledge of what works (from a clinical perspective) many people throughout the world are already turning their lives around by making smarter, informed decisions.

I have no particular preference or logo to offer as a basis (sorry) other than I intend I intend to trademark the logo so it’s probably wise to incorporate the words Smart Patient in the design to help distinguish the words themselves.
