Hi! We are a husband and wife team delivering branded boutique guitar effects and pickups direct to consumer via the Web. We have a strong brand for our business based on the name of "Soxymusic". We are looking to tap into a visual brand based on the renaissance of early rock and roll imagery and the rise of burlesque. That, and our customer delivery is what will set us apart. We have strong ideas about what we need from our logo, so it should be an easy win for you designers out there!
Erzählen Sie uns, wer Sie sind und wen Sie erreichen wollen?
Our target audience are those baby boomer and younger consumers who regularly purchase guitar effects, but not necessarily online yet. They wish to find an online presence that they can trust to deliver more than just a good $ price. They are needing an experience which is also going to add value in the form of product advice, technical tips and strong branding - which is currently missing from the majority of online guitar accessory providers. By giving an integrated, seamless experience we expect to attract unique customers, as well as those more experienced at shopping online.
We have a specific idea in mind.
1) We need the web address of http://www.soxymusic.com.au to be integrated into the logo design.
2) We really love the letraset from http://www.tvjones.com - one of our customers.
Something similar would be fantastic. It must evoke an idea of early rock and roll - kind of like comic books. We would like the writing of the company name/logo to be red with a white piping outline. Maybe ferrari red/some kind of bold lipstick red?
3) We envisage a sexy, burlesque style girl sitting atop (at an angle) of a wah wah pedal style casing. If you know what a wah wah pedal is, great!!!
If not, just think Jimi hendrix and you're there!!! try: http://www.jimdunlop.com/index.php Please do not use this image directly as it is copyright protected. We merely place it here as a visual example for those designers not acquainted with wah wah pedals!!
Anyways, the girl and the typeface is what should visually dominate - not the pedal.
This is what we feel will work best. The final angles of all components will be really important in determining the chosen design. However, if you have a design idea that is completely different that you feel will work better, please feel free to go for it! Thanks for taking the time to read our brief and we look forward to working with you.
