Teresa J Brosnan
I'm an amateur photographer that has developed a large portfolio of photographs during the last ten years. Friends and family have purchased a variety of my prints during this time and I have been encouraged to start a site to house them and publicise them to a wider audience.
I run a charity between South Africa and the UK (http://www.clouddog.org) and we want to expand the sale of the prints to charity supporters in the hope of fundraising.
Given my frequency of time in southern Africa a great majority of my Portfolio photos are African Wildlife, but NOT only African (grizzlies, whales, birds and landscape too) so please don't limit the scope to African style.
The site would predominantly be utilised in the PR and Media for clouddog reaching a wide audience of their supporters.
So a creative logo to publicise the sale of the photos to potential charity donors; fundraising purposes etc. but don't want cartoons or comic style please.
I have been inspired by the simple clean photo sites like
for these professional and fine art artists the photo is centre stage but clearly their quality and standard is awesome so they can afford to let the image stand alone.
I would like to add more warmth and personality to a clean design.
(But nothing gimicky or cheesy please)
I think you have to place the pics into an environment like those you aspire to be as good as, so would like something smart and clean that shadows these guys professionalism but not as strict and 'cold' as their sites.
You are definitely free to be as creative as you like.
I don't mind if you need to use initials only for the logo design (TJB) as the name is otherwise quite awkward and long.
The registered website address is: teresabrosnan.com (currently points to charity site)
The shape and feel of the logo will ultimately influence the colour and layout of the final site.
The background colour of the final site will likely be either white/offwhite or black to best enhance the viewing of the images, so please keep this in mind but don't feel you need to limit your experimentation with colour.
No clip art, cartoons or stock images please.
Any typeface should be clear and legible but I don't mind if the logo itself is abstract or creatively laid out (particularly if you are just using the initials)
Sorry we can't offer more money but this has been motivated by the charity raising funds from it so we have a limited budget.
Know that ultimately you'll help contribute to creating the 'planet managers' of tomorrow and changing the aspirations of inner city youth that care about saving their environment. Thank you!
