We are a mother daughter team who wanted a better work life balance. Mum was a teacher for 35 years who left her job 3 months ago to start something different. I am a young Mum who has worked in London and Australia in Finance. I have 2 young children and am pregnant with our third. I have a business and marketing degree which I have never utilised and working full time for someone else offers no flexibility when you have a young family, so Mum and I collaborated together to come up with something not being offered already. We are starting off in high end luxury sleep wear for women and moving into daywear etc down the track. We will never remove our clothing or designs from our website, they will always be available even when we add new designs each season. We have always loved the classic styles of GRACE KELLY and AUDREY HEPBURN, celebrating the classic hourglass figure. Our brand name stems from 'RAW' meaning the raw silk materials we are using for the garments and 'COCO' from Coco Channel inspired creations.

The business is an online retail store specializing in fashion clothing industry. The business will target the luxury end of the clothing market and concentrate on women’s clothing. The range will focus on classic apparel using timeless designs that suit many different size women. The designs offered will be continuous with new items added to the online store each season. The focus of the range will also strongly reflect the use of classic colours and natural fibre fabrics such as silk, linen and cotton which ties in with the businesses theme of timeless apparel.
The product is women’s apparel in the luxury end of fashion made from, silk and natural fabrics and fibres which will set the business apart from the mass produced apparel made from manmade materials.
The product fits into a niche market as it draws on classic and timeless design lines with attention to detail in the high quality and finishes of the clothing.
The target demographic will be women aged from 20 upwards with sizes ranging to suit this demographic from size 8 through to size 16.
The website will also offer a gift service.
New lines will be added to the continuous range each season drawing on designs from the 1930’s through to the 1960’s.
We are considering classic timeless artwork that reflects the 1950's with a happy, fun feel aimed at the modern women and to reflect today's modern lifestyle. Emphasis on the female form and feminity and selling the dream of the perfect hourglass shape ranging from Australian size 8 to 16 - for example the body is not hidden in blouson styles.
Colours: considering peaches, tangerines, nudes, cherry red, raspberry red, rich creams etc. Luxurious colours considered.
Fonts: classic and luxurious
Retro design also considered that feflects the above. Our clothing line will eventually include sleepwear, accessories, day and evening wear and casual and swimwear and possiblly childrenswear.
