I'm a corporate refugee (a software engineer) who has found new life as a network marketer. I use my blog coupled with social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to sell products and services online in partnership with affiliate, multi-level marketing and direct sales companies.
I have a special interest in networking with other Internet marketers, with whom I can form beneficial partnerships. So are my peers. We're all interested in getting to know other "online influencers."
So, I've created http://networkrz.com, a vertical-market microblogging site by network marketers for network marketers.
The primary audience for this site will be "independent distributors" for companies like Amway, Mary Kay, Avon, MonaVie, Wealth Masters International, etc... in other words, home business owners who are using social media to network with others in the industry.
This audience has big dreams for financial freedom, leaving the corporate world behind, spending quality time with their families, etc., and they see the Internet (and social media) as a way to achieve that.
The most popular community site currently serving this market is http://betternetworker.com. You can get a better feel for the market there.
The logo should feel like it "fits" the social web.
It should feel professional, but also fit the "life of financial freedom" culture. Think "casual day," not suit & tie.
The final site design will have a nice, modern "Apple inspired" theme, so don't worry... your logo will be framed nicely.
When designing your submission, keep in mind that the logo will be used:
- On the web site.
- As the basis for the site's favicon.
- On shirts, mouse pads, etc.
- On "social badges" on people's blogs, etc.
I'm not looking for a "me too." I'm looking for something sharp & clever that fits the market.
