The "North American GIFT & GOURMET MARKETING ASSOCIATION" is a new organization dedicated to the development of marketing skills and financial success for member businesses. We are looking for a logo that exudes professionalism, but with a hint of the festive, appropriate to the gift and gourmet food industries.

The "North American GIFT & GOURMET MARKETING ASSOCIATION" will use your logo design in the web site header, letterhead, association materials, licensing and certification materials, membership seals, and other marketing and communication materials. Our goal is to become a dominant force in the marketing and training of gift industry businesses. Members will be predominantly small manufacturers of candles, soaps, jewelry, gourmet and specialty foods, confections, handicrafts, woodcrafts, and related goodies. Other membership categories might include retail gift stores, web retailers, suppliers, and vendors to the gift and gourmet food industries. My wife and I are founding members of the association... Sandy is an independent sales rep in the gift industry, and I (Malcolm) am a gourmet food entrepreneur.
- We prefer to use four colors: dark blue, dark red, black, and ivory or cream. Use additional colors with discretion, but don't let color suggestions limit your creativity.
- Logo to include the name of the association, with "GIFT & GOURMET"
as the dominant message. "MARKETING ASSOCIATION" can hold equal or
slightly lower weight, and the "North American" (US and Canada) should be
more subliminal (i.e. smaller in relative size and/or color dominance).
- Since this is a business association, a professional look to the logo is important. BUT a touch of the festive (for example, a bow or ribbon) is just as important, since the gift industry is about fun, important relationships, and good feelings.
