We're launching a group of local news websites similar to our first, http://www.calabasas365.com.
The site features breaking news, crime reports, restaurant closures, etc. Our goal is to be the site viewers turn to when something's going on in their neighborhood.
Bold. Fast. Always there, 365 days a year.
We want to project a serious image (since we actually are), but not stuffy or boring. Is "fun yet professional" overused? Something like that.
We'd also like to bring a little bit of "digital" to the logo, if it can be done without looking too goofy.
People in their late 20s to late 50s who care about news in their neighborhood.
We'll need to edit the winning logo to our other communities, so the format and style should make it fairly easy for us to create Agoura365.com, Malibu365.com, etc.
The logo will need to stand on its own, but often will be overlayed onto an illustrative photo of the community. Thin lines could be problematic.
Colors? We like the red & black, but aren't wedded to it.
Any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
