I am a garden writer (edible gardens & gardening with children) and the canning/preserving expert on a weekly, national television show. I am also an authority on urban homesteading (growing your own food, raising livestock, preserving the harvest in the middle of the city).
My recent appearances on the gardening show have produced some great publiciy and in a few weeks, my brand "Living Homegrown Fresh" will be mentioned on the show. I am going to be relaunching my website and will need a new logo to go with the new brand.
Now, my style of "urban homesteading" is different from most. I am sort of a cross between Martha Stewart and Heather Bullard (http://www.heatherbullard.com). I utilize old fashioned skills in hip new ways. I am all about eating locally (growing own food, buying at local farmer's markets, etc), being a steward of the earth, inspiring others to try their hand at gardening, canning and living a more local lifestyle...with style!

My target audience tends to be women gardeners in the age bracket of 28-40 years old. Many are new gardeners or old gardeners who are new to growing vegetables and other edible plants. They seek guidance without being intimidated. Almost all are completely new to the idea of raising chickens and canning/preserving the harvest. These old fashioned skills may have been common during our grandparents time, but are not so common today...until now.
Vegetable gardening was one of the hottest new trends last year. Canning/preserving is one of the hottest new trends THIS year. I just happen to be an expert in both of these fields.
I currently have no logo, so please feel free to be creative. I have no preexisting restraints on what you can do.
I want the logo to be simple enough that it will translate well across social media (twitter, facebook etc). I want an icon based logo where the icon can stand alone, but would like to see the name Living Homegrown Fresh used next to the icon in someway (for website, etc) . I will use the icon alone for social media and the combo for everything else.
All of these logos are clean, simple and very recognizable in social media. Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing some "earthy" or "organic" versions as well. Feel free to expand. Be careful of using a "House" or home image because there are many trademarked logos like that out there.
