Zusammenfassung

Our established plus-size apparel company (Dare to Wear) is launching a new line called Dare by Natalia. This new line of clothing will include plus-sized women’s dresses, tops, and skirts, and will be a departure from our Dare to Wear line, which is more Renaissance/Victorian, with a touch of Gothic styling. The new line, Dare by Natalia, is more contemporary, sophisticated, modern, and stylish. The idea is to offer a fun, colorful, tasteful line of clothing that professional plus-sized women can wear to the office, but that transition well to evening activities – out on the town, out to a bar, out on a date, even to a cocktail party… This new line will be made with better quality fabrics, better construction, and better sewing, and thus will be higher-priced.

We want a new logo that will reflect this image – fun and creative, but also sophisticated and tasteful. These clothes bear the designer’s name – the logo should reflect this “designer” aspect of this line. With this new line, we're poised to get lots of exposure in the plus-sized apparel industry, and we want to present a fun, simple, unique, and memorable logo that conveys our clothing and design sensibility as much as possible.

Our styles flatter rather than hide the plus-sized woman’s figure! Design elements include: sexy necklines (square, sweetheart, keyholes), fun sleeves, flared skirts, and other interesting elements such as twists, cinches, and pleating. We have incorporated many styling and fitting elements to create the slimmest silhouette possible. We help plus-sized women feel confident that they are looking their very best, hence our tagline: Confident Curvy Couture.

DARE is also all about color- we use rich tones such as berry, plum, chocolate, and charcoal and combine them with fun accents in magenta, avocado, and dusty pink. We love color block designs and combining solid fabric with fun prints! In these rich colors, our customers present themselves as grown-up, confident women with taste and class… as well as a strong sense of style and fun!

Every style in this collection is special in some way - either in cut or fabric or both, and a careful eye can easily identify them as one of our DARE styles.

The new clothing line can be described as contemporary,
sophisticated, modern, and feminine without being too revealing. The quality of
fabric and sewing will be a very big step up from our old line. The line
includes everyday dresses, tops, skirts, and a few evening dresses and tops. <p>A lot of the pieces can be worn to the office combined with
a nice jacket and a pair of heels or boots, and then effortlessly go to a night
on the town in the evening. Every style is special in some way - either in cut or fabric
or both, and a careful eye can easily identify them as one of our DARE styles. </p><p>Design elements include: sexy necklines (square, sweetheart,
V-necks, keyholes), fun sleeves (flared, cinched gathered), flared skirts, and
other interesting elements such as twists, cinches, and pleating. All of the
tops and dresses tie in the back to accentuate the waistline, and we have
incorporated many styling and fitting elements to create the slimmest
silhouette possible.  Our styles
are designed to flatter rather than hide the plus-sized woman’s figure!  We help plus-sized women feel confident
that they are looking their very best, hence our tagline: Confident Curvy

tags, not vertical, so there is not necessarily a need to stack the text for

It may be nice to have a rose or some other flower as part of the logo for our new line as well so that they have a similar look. Feel free to be creative and use other stylized floral elements, but using them is not a must by any means.
4. A logo/look that can be scaled down. Eventually, we may also want to create a symbol signifying our company with just the “D” (Dare). Think “LV” of Louis Vuitton. If so we’d want to have that look match the look on our longer logo/label.
5. The main part of the logo is DARE (or Dare). “by Natalia” can be visually separated by font, size, and/or style. It can, and probably should look very different from the “Dare”.

DON’T WANTS:
1. An overly complicated font- it has to be SIMPLE and ELEGANT!
2. An overly complicated logo with too many design elements- again, SIMPLE is the way to go!
3. A logo that is boring, too crazy, or too busy. We can’t wait to LOVE the new logo!
