Wie Jon Topper das erste logo design Abenteuer antrat
The Scale Factory
The Scale Factory is a small, independent consultancy company specialising in Linux systems administration. We work mainly with small web companies, helping them to build out their applications onto scalable, highly available infrastructure so that they can cope with growth in traffic without the systems architecture holding them back.
We concentrate on repeatability; centralised administration; network security; and detailed monitoring of hardware and software components. We use mainly free and open source tools, and do a lot of work with virtualisation.
Briefly: We make websites work bigger and faster.
Erzählen Sie uns, wer Sie sind und wen Sie erreichen wollen?
We focus mainly on web startup companies, typically Web 2.0 businesses; but occasionally we'll do work for more established development companies.
We are looking for a logo which can be used on our website; this will in future be adapted for use on business cards and stationery.
The logo should convey the concept of scalability in relation to computer systems, but this should be abstract - we don't wish to have pictures of servers, or logos of operating systems or software as part of our brand image. We're keen to look intelligent, capable and trustworthy. We have no other preconceived ideas about how this should look, so be as creative as you like.
We will need you to provide a vector file containing the completed design, as well as a list of fonts that have been used - which will preferably be freely available.
Ideally, we'd like to see some idea of how the logo might fit into a website design and business card, but this is not mandatory. Indeed, a website design may form a future brief.
