The Heights Baptist Church
We are an established church in Central Virginia looking to update its brand along with an upgrade to the church name. We will now be referred to as "The Heights Baptist Church," maintaining some connection to our history while opening the door to the opportunity to branch out in multi-site venues.
The church is a blend of the contemporary and the traditional, with an audience that spans generations. 76% of the surrounding population is represented by families. The median age is roughly 35 years old.
Our major requirement is that the logo represent specifically the name of the church. We are looking for fresh ideas to brand "The Heights." Please note: we prefer the logo to exist as an icon separate from the name, but we are open to any idea that communicates the name in a clear, bold, and simple way. The following website includes church logos similar to what we are looking for: http://churchrelevance.com/about/re…rch-logos/
UPDATE: Attached is a photo of the front of our building which bears a cross over top of a circular window. This could be inspiration for a logo that is tied to our architecture, but please do not feel bound by this idea.
You may incorporate religious themes/images if they also serve to ultimately communicate our name.
Feel free to include as a subtitle "Baptist Church" or simply "Baptist" but not "Church" by itself.
We would also like to see how your design could be incorporated into a multi-site location (for example, "The Heights: Richmond"). For these examples, please feel free to use the name of your own area in the concept (as if we opened a multi-site in your home town).
We are looking for a full-color logo, but would also like to see two-color, single-color, and black and white variations.
Vector art required. No clip art or stock photos.
