Put simply, we require branding ideas for the whole project. The website is just a template at the moment, and we're looking at ways to improve it, but we need to define a style to work around, starting with a logo (and possibly some vector based graphics to complement the site design as it progresses).
In terms of the look, the main focus is a professional, modern style, not gimmicky or quirky, but instead stylish, easy to read, and futureproofed for integration into a group logo (UK Scholar) at a later date. It must also work well with common web fonts (arial mainly). A web 2.0 feel would be considered.
Naturally, we're keen to see all ideas, but one example that we particularly like is the National Curriculum website. The logo is quite simple, but ties in nicely with a logo graphic, that can be used for branding other sites. Particular colour schemes would also be highly useful as we can also use this for related sites.
The National Curriculum website can be found at http://curriculum.qcda.gov.uk/key-s…s-3-and-4/
In terms of format, please could all designs be created using photoshop, and ideas sent over in gif/jpg/png. Graphics in vector formats please, RGB (for web).
We hope this gives you enough information to get started, but by all means please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have more questions.
