Sarah Disgrace is my personal website and currently houses information about all of my creative projects (such as novels and short stories), as well as a link to my blog, http://sarahdisgrace.blogspot.com. I am in the process of redesigning both the content and look of my website to include not only my creative projects, but my other freelance work (for various magazines and websites) and business writing as well. My blog will continue to play an important piece in the overall website. Note, the silhouette on the main page of the website will not carry over to the new website design - in fact, I am open to letting the new logo inspire and lead the overall direction of the new look.
Please take a look at the current website and blog to get a sense of my style, tone, and personality - I would love a logo that really communicates all three clearly. In terms of my writing background and areas of expertise, my first two novels were both fiction and told my a teen perspective, but I am currently working on a non-fiction book. My freelance primarily centers around entertainment and pop culture. I have also included a bio below.
Sarah Grace McCandless is the author of the novels Grosse Pointe Girl: Tales From a Suburban Adolescence and The Girl I Wanted to Be, both published by Simon & Schuster. She is also a regional producer for "Mortified Live" and a contributor to a variety of publications and websites including Swindle, Forces of Geek, Venus, and Daily Candy. She lives with her husband and her Corgi, Awesome-O, outside of New York, where she is currently working on a new nonfiction book while putting the “White Wine and Cupcakes” diet into daily practice.
