The logo that you design needs to be scalable. In other words, we will blow it up and put it on a big display, but we will also need to be able to make a much smaller scaled down version of it into a 16x16 icon to put on the program (when doing this, a lot of times, you can simply remove parts of the logo like the name if that is included, and just include the main design). So, we want something that looks good large, but can scale down. You only need to submit the large version of it. We will need to have all copyrights to the final product chosen, and we will need an eps of the file and the ability to open it in adobe photoshop. The predominant colors of our program are dark blue and light blue like Microsoft Silverlight blue (but that does not necessarily have to be the color of your logo).
The system books prisoners, keeps track of their property, keeps accurate counts of the people in jail and what cells they are in, then it releases them and bills the appropriate agency. It also keeps track of warrants and civil papers and whether they have been served or not. It is used mostly as a catch and release type system, but it is also used by investigators.
Just to let everyone know, I will not be checking my mail or doing any feedback from Friday (10/31) through Sunday (11/2) because I will be out of town. I will be available the other days of the contest, however.
