Blossom Pilates and Soul
I operate a pilates business that’s currently called Pin-up Girl Pilates http://www.pinupgirlpilates.com where my mission is to create an empowered community of women who embrace their strength, power and femininity.
But as my brand has continued to mature, I am changing the name and concept. The studio that will be launching in 30-60 days is called Blossom Pilates and Soul, or Blossom Pilates and Soul Center.
Vision: Blossom is a boutique Pilates studio in a hip, urban area of San Diego, specializing in private and group pilates equipment classes- specifically reformer classes. But the brand goes far beyond the physical exercise. This is a lifestyle brand that celebrates each woman’s journey of self-discovery and true expression. Blossom is at once a fun, vibrant and sexy brand and also a soulful and transformational brand.
Purpose of studio:
Getting in shape can be an intimidating venture for women. We will become known as one of the most friendly, fun and sassiest pilates studios in San Diego, where women go to get empowered, get fit and get connected.

30 something profile A:
This client rents or works in the nearby area, is sociable and enjoys fitness as a way of life. She engages in numerous physical activities. She will come for the fun group workouts, but she will stay because she feels like she belongs. She will help to shape the community upon which the Blossom brand is based.
30 something profile B:
This client owns her home and may also work in the nearby area. She is on the dating scene and is focused on personal transformation—feeling and looking her best—in mind, body and spirit. She wants the customized programming and personal attention of one-on-one sessions. She is not a class joiner. She travels a lot for work or pleasure so her schedule is sometimes inconsistent. Still she is a dedicated and focused student and makes pilates and exercise a priority in her life. She has disposable income and spends her money on fine wine, designer handbags and expensive shoes.
50 something
This client lives in an established neighborhood and is married or divorced. She is in a life stage of transformation, and willl respond to the soulful, personalized culture at Blossom. She also wants her sexy body back. She wants increased muscle tone, stamina and core conditioning, and will train in private sessions 3 x week. She is focused on her health and appearance and has time and money to spend.
I am looking for a logo to represent Blossom Pilates and Soul
I envision a couple of different directions with the logo but want your creative spin:
1. Using the 7 Chakra colors and/or flowers as a design element e.g.:
2. Instead of incorporating a flower into the logo, trying another element that fits into the idea of opening/becoming/exercising/movement
3. A few brush strokes that look like a woman dancing or standing with her arms stretched up to the heavens
4. A logo that incorporates an infinity sign or the figure 8 into the design. The figure 8 could also be the silloette of a woman's figure
Here are a few things to think about:
1.While Blossom celebrates women’s beauty, it’s not a “pretty” brand. I am not looking for pastels and fairy dust. I want playful, cool, fresh and smart.
2. Nothing too elegant - I do not want to come across as being fancy or unaccessible. I want woman to feel like they can not only afford to work out here a couple times a week, but that they BELONG in this studio.
3. The typeface should be clear, simple and bold. I want something that stands out. Again being careful not to be too fancy.
