Foodie Registry (http://www.foodieregistry.com) is an online store and wedding registry for upscale restaurant gift certificates. Just like Macy's is a store that sells things, and also has a wedding registry to let people register for those things, we're a store for restaurant gift certificates, and we have a wedding registry to let people register for them.
We are building a Facebook app called "Restaurant Bucket List" that lets people create a list of upscale restaurants they want to go to (hence "bucket list", a list of things you want to do before you die), and a list of restaurants they have been to, lets them share with their friends, and finally lets friends buy gift certificates by linking the app to our site.
The app is being built now and we want sharp and distinct branding, via the logo (and header bar) to help enhance the app and position it the same way we position Foodie Registry (upscale, chic, fun, urban), and also most importantly, to make it clear the app is part of Foodie Registry.
Our site was designed with a lot of dark colors to evoke the feeling of a sexy night out on the town. We position ourselves as a chic, luxury service used by modern, stylish city dwellers, and want our app to reinforce that.
