The best way to explain me is that I've always been different. The philosophy I follow is just that "I'm different, I've always been me".
I've been an IT professional for the last ten years doing jobs such as proof reading, being an author of how to guides, web designer, project manager, head of web department, client manager and more.
Currently I'm a freelance web developer, with an emphasis on developer as I do less design work these days and concentrate more on achieving functional websites and outsourcing design talent.
I'm also trained as a professional dancer, in most areas, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary/modern dance. This is what I call my next career move.
Thirdly I dabble in DJ-ing and music production, this will be my third career move in the next year or so. I mainly listen to and work with House and Trance.
My aim in life is to be able to do all these three things and be self-employed doing so. I am a person that likes to inspire others to follow their dreams and try new things to broaden their views. Inspiration through action really is what I'm all about.
My target audience is the people around me. Friends, music industry people, creative arts industry, the people interested in hiring me for a gig, contract, etc.
The logo I want is to brand myself and use it on my website, business cards, invoices, and perhaps in flyers and posters in the future.
Logos I like:
http://www.tydi.com/ – I personally like the thick lettering, that it is in one colour, easy to change into a different colour or on different backgrounds.
http://www.arminvanbuuren.com/ - Again the logo is very simplistic, using his full name. Not to interested in having a rectangular box around my name though.
http://www.davidguetta.com/ - another DJ, again simplistic logo but it's a nice font. The logo isn't easily seen on the website but it is the capitalized name ”DAVID GUETTA”
http://www.thefamily.com.au/ - The logo for this nightclub is amazing in my opinion. The little triangular/hat symbol is used all over their website, community magazine, etc. Very versatile
http://www.myspace.com/arnocost – His logo is found in the background of this myspace profile. But it is one of my favourite, simple lettering and the combination of the initials AC together.
I'd love to see different variations of a logo, black, white, and coloured. Using my full name, with or without a symbol. A single letter or my intials can be used as the symbol, or whatever else can be thought of, I'm very open minded and don't want to restrict the creative process. Blue is my favourite colour, and I would like to see that as the main colour.
Illustrator and Photoshop files are required.
