Wie Tim Merritt das erste logo design Abenteuer antrat
I'm a 22 year military veteran. I've served in Afghanistan, Iraq, New Orleans for Huricanes Katrina and Rita, and I went to Haiti as a civillian to build emergency shelters. I live in Idaho, and I belong to an informal preparedness group (commonly called "Preppers"). I am marketing a DVD series explaining how to organize these prepardeness groups (called "Colloquiums" or "CQs"). The series describes how to form the group, and discusses issues such as; food water and fuel storage, basic first aid, financial preparedness, family plans, "Bug-Out Bags", map-reading, communication, etc.
Erzählen Sie uns, wer Sie sind und wen Sie erreichen wollen?
This is an existing niche market, but it is growing very rapidly. The term "Colloquium" (CQ) was developed here in Idaho, but there are numerous CQs starting up now in Texas and elsewhere. This is Glenn Beck's audience. People who are very afraid that life is going to fundamentally change in the US very soon. There is a lot of anxiety and questions about what to do next. "How do I prepare myself and my family?" Is the question they are asking.
I don't have a lot of requirments. I don't know much about logos, except that I need one to print on my DVD cases, web site, etc. It should be something distinctive... American Flag themes are always popular with this crowd, but since I have been a Soldier for 22 years, I would want to be very tasteful and discreet with the US colors. I am trying to distinguish myself as very separate from the Survivalist crowd, so no machine guns or death's heads. My goal is to be professional, no militant. Calming, not inflaming. Well, maybe calm is not right... there is definately a sense of urgency. But of a measured determined urgency... hope this helps ;)
