Vitalia, Inc
Vitalia, Inc is a company devoted to servicing interior designers and architects by completing window treatments for their projects and giving business coaching advice. Vita, the founder and CEO, is a Window Treatment expert, MBA, and a successful business owner.
She helped countless designers and their clients transform their spaces with custom window treatments through measuring, fabricating, troubleshooting, engineering, and installation services. Her clients have also come to rely on Vita’s resources that feature industry and marketing news, tips, and advice designed to help them save money, save time, and be most knowledgeable in front of their clients.
You're welcome to check out http://www.VitaV2K.com for more information about me and the context of the window treatment business. A word of caution though - the current site (and brand name) is a consumer-oriented site. My business has evolved to include about 70% designers, which is why i'm rebranding and repositioning with Vitalia, Inc.
My value to the design world is that i combine being organized and methodical with being creative & visual. i can take designer's broad vision and break it down into the nitty-gritty details that are required for fabrication. designers prefer to focus their time on other aspects of design, and since mistakes are very costly, they turn to me.
high end interior designer and architect who has a vision for window treatments and relies on my expertise to execute it.
-clean, updated, relevant
-to make a parallel to the decorating world, i would say - transitional - a combination of traditional and contemporary
-elegant, high end
-but not stuffy
-i'm ok with some kind soft, scripty look, but nothing that looks skimpy or victorian
-logo has to exude confidence and authority
-feel free to make letter V stand out, but i'm not envisioning an initial at the top, line underneath, brand name under it - kind of design, although perhaps i can be surprised, i'm open
-Inc should be small and insignificant (~90/10 ratio)
-do NOT use any images of window treatments
-my two favorite colors are peridot green and royal purple
-of course, the logo needs to be able to stand strong in b&w, grey scale, and ko
-logo will be used in new stationery and website
i've recently read this article - i'm sure many of you saw it, but just in case

i'm intrigued about the 'encrust' trend. if it inspires anyone, it would be interesting to see what comes out.
another curious trend is varidot. this web-site (and woman) is my personal inspiration - perhaps it can inspire something in you - http://www.alibrown.com
