Bruce County Public Library
Currently, the Bruce County Public Library uses modified versions of the old tourism logos and initiatives. We no longer want to tie our branding to tourism as they are heading in a more adventurous direction, while we want to be more modern, and culturally focused.
The Bruce County Public Library provides free recreational and informational materials to residents of Bruce County, Ontario. We also provide free service to visitors (temporary residents in Bruce County).
The Library operates 18 branches throughout Bruce County. These branches are an important part of their communities and the Library treasures/relies on the affection that residents feel towards their local branch libraries. Library is welcoming and inclusive and is closely connected to its surrounding community.
Bruce County is a scenic region of Ontario known for its tourism, outdoor recreation, beaches, forests, and parks.
We will be using this logo on a newly designed website, and the colour set will be matched to the colours selected for the logo.
The Library’s target audience is literate and interested in culture and knowledge. They are inquisitive and socially active.
All age groups – larger segment of Boomers of course; Rural and Urban; income level average – mid to lower I think; lifestyle- outdoors, healthy living, friendly small-town
The Bruce County Public Library wants a logo that will be the cornerstone of our rebranding effort. We will need the logo to be in vector format, as well as we expect to receive the logo in a large size, high detail PNG.
Also, we expect that anyone entering this contest does so understanding that they will also continue working on the branding presence which will include creating the base of a new library card, letter head, and a style guide for a further $1200.
