Black Swan Syndicate

Black Swan Syndicate is a U.S. goverment contracting firm with a particular focus on providing goods and services to the defense agencies. Black Swan Syndicate takes its name from the Black Swan Theory which describes high-impact, hard-to-predict, and rare events beyond the relm of normal expectations. The theory regards almost all major scientific discoveries, historical events, and artistic accomplishments as "black swans" - undirected and unpredicted. Examples of black swan events are the rise of the Internet, the personal computer, WWI, and the Sept. 11 attacks. The term black swan comes from the 17th century European assumption that "all swans are white". In that context, a black swan was a symbol for something that was impossible or could not exist. In the 18th century, the discovery of black swans in Western Australia metamorphosed the term to connote that a percieved impossibility may actually come to pass. We use this term to describe the way in which we will provider services and products to the U.S. government - high impact beyond the realm of normal expectations. We are also a 100% service disabled veteran owned business which is of high importance to us as an organization.

We need a bold fresh logo that will be used for our website, business cards, stationary and brochures and will also need to print well.

There are a number of logos out in the market for black swans. They are usually a more soft portrayal of a typical swan that is black with a red beak. We want a more solid figure of our swan to elicit feelings of strength, dependability, focus and integrity - but utilizing the black and red colors if possible.

Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
