GreatVines (http://www.greatvines.com) is a software business focused on the Beverage Alcohol industry. Our primary customers are wineries, spirits (liquor) companies, wholesalers/distributors and even craft beer producers (a spinoff brand "HopVines"). We are partners with Salesforce.com and Nielsen, and our solutions are cutting edge. Our focus is: sales and marketing CRM, reporting/analytics, goal tracking, etc. Our system is so specific that we track things like wine list and cocktail menu placements, and help companies understand not just who their buyers are but what products they like (based on what has been presented, etc).
Because the alcohol industry is so heavily regulated, it is also fragmented and we see GreatVines as being a common platform which brings together people who create, distribute and sell these products.
Our business may be growing internationally and even outside of the "alcoholic beverage" space, for example water, energy drinks, etc.
Primarily male and not incredibly tech savvy. The alcoholic beverage industry is not known for being at the forefront of any technology movement. Our users and users can be as young as their 20s but typically our target buyers are in their 40s to even 60s.
Originally the "Vines" part of our name referred obviously to wine and grapes, but no longer. Now we think it might symbolize a "foundation" or "roots" of a successful business. Our current colors and typography are too feminine for our target audience so we want something sharper/tighter with clean, with original iconography. The entire Logo must fit elegantly into a 300 x 55 space (280 to 300 width), as this is the placement allowed to us within Salesforce.com. For this reason it must be a predominantly horizontal logo.
The logo must be easily translated into "HopVines" also which is a spinoff brand for the beer customers. We can make these changes ourselves within Illustrator (ideally).
We will use the logo in many forms, from a new Website (wordpress), to new trade show banners and materials, apparel, new business cards, etc. We will need EPS files plus any non-standard fonts used.
You may use any case you want, mixed, initial cap, lower, upper, etc. Surprise us! Please email me (email@example.com) with additional questions.
