OziCall.com was originally AussieCall.com. We are in the midst of giving ourselves a more local spelling of the name and doing a redesign of our website.
Ozi Call lets people make free international calls from their mobile phone in Australia to over 50 countries including the UK, India, Canada, USA, China, and Thailand. No account is needed or personal information required. Anyone in Australia can just call our access number from their mobile phone then make a free international call. Ozi Call was launched in 2008 and averages over 10 million minutes a month in free international long distance.

Our target audience in anyone in Australia with a mobile phone who makes international calls. Our core users are typically recent immigrants who are on the go (students, expats, contract employees) that want to stay in touch with their family and friends back home. Many of our customers originally come from South Asia and are males in their 20s and 30s.
We want a logo that is catchy, original, and gives off a combination of energy and trust. Elements of the logo should allude to telecom/mobile calling and Australia.
An example of an logo that I like is this: http://www.topnews.in/sports/files/…ricket.jpg.
Designers are free to come up with their own creative concepts. One concept that I would like to see is a ray sunburst background with the Southern Cross embedded in the rays of the sunburst and a mobile phone icon in the foreground.
For colors feel free to play with blue, black, and the green/yellow used in Australian olympic uniforms.
The design will be primarily used on our website as a header in a 957 pixel wide design. The header height will be somewhere between 100 and 150 pixels. The design should be able to stand on either a white background or against a colored background.
We sometimes run black and white print ads and would need the logo to look good in that medium as well.
I am not too picky about the logo font as long as it will play well with web typography. Please come up with something that will blend in with standard web fonts.
Final versions can be delivered as transparent PNG files and PSD files in color and black and white.
