I am looking for an illustration that depicts an "artificial tree"-- one that is manmade and takes in CO2 (carbon dioxide) from the air and uses energy from the sun to convert water and that CO2 into sugars (nutrients for the tree). Imagine someone tapping a maple tree to get liquid sap.
Our technology is the same in spirit: sun + water + CO2 = liquid fuel (that you can put into your car, for example).
I particularly like this art: http://cleanenergy.harvard.edu/
I am looking for something that is futuristic, sophisticated yet inspired by nature.
Current technologies that capture CO2 from the air look something like this, and we'd like to be more inspirational: http://globalthermostat.vaesite.net…8f1938.jpg
By the way, this is not science fiction-- we have researchers from around the globe that can make this happen. =)
ADDED: I am not looking for a literal representation of the technology. I would prefer a tree that took inspiration from the illustration here: http://cleanenergy.harvard.edu/
