Forecastfox
Forecastfox is a weather extension for Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. Forecastfox displays the weather in a simple, readable way directly in your browser's status bar. The extension has been downloaded over 20,000,000 times on Firefox.
We target users of Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome on Mac, Windows and Linux. People with all sorts of backgrounds from all over the world use Forecastfox.
We need a new set of 42 weather icons. The icons will be displayed in Firefox's status-bar, so they should be readable when small, and they should work with a variety of background colors (since users can change their browser or operating system's theme).
You can find the complete list of icons required at the following location:
http://ensolis.com/icon-demo/icon_d…ptions.txt
The left column describes the name of the icon (although the numbers go to 44, there are actually only 38 of those... some numbers are skipped), and the right column indicates what the icon means.
Don't worry! Although there are 38 different icons for the weather conditions, they are really made up of about 11 underlying weather conditions (1. sunny, 2. rainy, 3. cloudy, 4. snow, 5. thunderstorm, 6. windy, 7. hot, 8. cold, 9. sleet, 10. fog, 11. clear ... at night).
There are also 5 icons that label types of weather information: 1. severe weather alerts, 2. radar, 3. hourly forecast, 4. 5-day forecast and 5. hurricanes.
The icons should be submitted as 19x19 png images with transparent backgrounds (along with the original vector images).
To get a sense of what each icon description means, we've attached the icons we currently use (note that this is missing a "hurricane" icon),
